Join the TSO as we welcome back “The Royal Family of the Guitar,” The Romero Guitar Quartet, for an evening of passionate classical Spanish guitar. For over 50 years, The Romero Family has played for presidents, princes and popes, not to mention repeated appearances with virtually every major symphony orchestra in the U.S. Now hear Celin, Pepe, Celino and Lito Romero with the full Tucson Symphony Orchestra for the first time since 2009. Composer Joaquín Rodrigo called them “the grand masters of the guitar,” explaining, “The Romeros have developed the technique of the guitar by making what is difficult...to be, easy!" Now on their third generation of accomplished musicians, The Romero Guitar Quartet continues to charm audiences worldwide.
